WE HUMIDIFY THE AIR

Air humidification in data centres.

Data centres equipment produces and releases constant heat in the air. Without an appropriate cooling solution, servers can over-heat and with it dry out of the room. Since server and storage systems are more reliable at an ambient temperature of 18-21 degrees Celsius and relatively high air humidity, installing air conditioning systems in the room is essential. The use of an adiabatic air humidification system is a cost-efficient solution to regulate the air humidity and indoor temperature.

Furthermore, relative humidity reduction to below 45% in server rooms increases the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD), which often causes severe damage to expensive hardware and valuable databases.

Improved humidity also effectively prevents typical health-related staff illnesses associated with a dry working environment.

The advantages of using air humidification in data centres

  • Protects against dangerous electrostatic discharge
  • Reduces risk of server errors and data loss
  • Creates a healthy and pleasant working environment for operational staff
  • Reduces operating costs due to energy-efficient cooling performance
